My new vitesse

I thought Id post these pictures of the vitesse that I have put a deposit down on. I am picking it up the end of November as I have a house move and most money from this months Pay will be going towards that.

The car in question is a 99 T reg Rover Vitesse with less than 34,000 miles.
Its been off the road for a few years.

My current plan of action is to get it trailored to an MOT station and find out what needs doing.
I know its going to need Brakes sorting as it has its ABS light on at the moment.
Once thats completed I will be getting it fully serviced and have the cambelt,aux belt and waterpump,thermostat and coolant change.

I will probably need a set of calipers so if anybody has any please let me know and a price thanks.

I may be in the minority here but I do prefer the look of a fastback (not that I dislike any of the variants) but that looks extra long and sleek somehow. Well bought!!

What a nicely kept car. Looks every bit the low mileage its meant to be.

I wonder what could be done to keep the drivers seat bolster as it is without eventually getting the usual wear / damage through use? If it were me I might adopt a policy of always running the seat fully back for getting out, and bring it forward again after getting in next time. Are they electric / memory seats?

You don't see many of the Recaro seats un-mullered.

Thanks the recaros are manual and that is one thing I am worried about but if it does wear theough I will have to get someone to make new leather sides.

That is almost too nice to use. I say almost, because part of the pleasure of 800s is driving them!

A fantastic buy, but be careful with putting such a low mileage car back to regular use. Some of the most unreliable secondhand cars can be one that have not been used enough.

now that is a nice vitesse, infact best one I've ever seen in the right colour too.
