Yeah it’s a shame but I just don’t use it. I might bung it in for an mot to see what it fails on

My last MoT revealed the sub-standard job done by the previous person who MoT'd, welded and passed it - the floorpan is no longer connected to the inner sill panel! Long story but without a ramp, i can't safely get underneath to weld it so sadly i have to offer mine for restoration/spares/repairs and it will be coming with a mountain of spares, not just enough to sort the car but enough to keep several others on the road for some considerable time.
Cheers,
Dave

Yeah when I did my sills o had to remake parts of the inner sill. I think they rot in partnership.

They do indeed - however the person i paid good money to weld it to MoT standard (the tester/garage owner) neglected to weld the floorpan/inner sill together after cutting the rotten bit out. Welded his effort at making an outer sill panel onto the centre section of inner sill but didn't weld the floorpan side that strengthens the inner sill on the inside section of the floor - when i say inside i mean the outer sill is outside, the inner sill is the centre and the floorpan which is meant to bend down and form the inner strengthening of the inner sill is inside, not actually inside the cabin of the car.
Cheers,
Dave

Spot on and muppet was probably the most polite thing i've called him! Even the tester that threw it off the ramps when he saw it was less polite...........
