So we finally had a day without rain yesterday so I decided to tackle the blowing exhaust. The really annoying thing is that the entire exhaust is new so I wasn't sure why it was blowing so badly, anyway jacking up the car soon reviled the culprit......the connection between the mid and back section. I set to work and removed the back section only to find no gasket at all between them! Anyway after a quick trip to the local tyre centre to blag a ring gasket I was able to reassemble it and thankfully it's quiet now like it should be. I took her for a long drive and she ran well, in fact the more she's driven now the better she's getting!
I then gave her a quick clean to get a couple more pics
Next week I'm going to a few bodyshops to get quotes for the paintwork however while i was under I was pleased to note just how good the bodywork is for a 27 year old Rover!
Bit of weekend work and some more pics!

Pleased to see it's now blue again James!
Bit of a nuisance on that gasket, at least you found it now rather than later when it had caused more problems!
