I think you'd need a fleet of cars to be able to make "a living" out of it. Probably more than I have and of more varied types including vans etc. After taking into account all the costs of buying, insuring, repairs and storage it wouldn't be worth it.

I did have a new Esprit Turbo in the 1980's and that was hired out regularly by a photographic/model company owned by the photographer who took the famous picture of the lady tennis player showing her derriere. That picture was taken at Edgbaston Tennis Club in Birmingham and became a top selling poster all over Europe. It made my mate Mike a lot of cash.
No longer an 800 owner!

Quite a few people offset the running costs of their classics by hiring them out but, as Brad says, it would be hard to make a living from it.

MoT'd this week. Needed a new exhaust which I fitted today. I forgot just how great this car drove. Treated it to a full polish.
No longer an 800 owner!

The Senator wasn't being used in A to A. It is featured in a film about Charles And Diana though.

The Austin Metro was in A to A but hasn't been screemed yet.
