A few weeks ago, this car was used in the filming of a crime reconstruction for Crimewatch. It had to be muddied up and all the filming took place in one day at or near Rutland Water. It's due to be shown this Thursday 11th September on BBC1.

I bought this car for Â£400 in May as the owner was breaking it for parts. I nipped in and made him an offer he couldn't refuse and drove it away. My mate Mark borrowed it and lost the key so I have replaced the column lock, door locks and under dash wiring. The car has a couple of new wheels, new tyres, new radiator and some various bits of chrome and plastic trim. It drives superbly. It looks a bit high at the back due to the uneven land.

Great news Brad, was thinking about doing the same with my car before the damn crash, oh well.....

By the way, would it be possible for someone here to copy tonights Crimewatch as I will be at work tonight and not be able to see it and my video keeps on playing up, I will obviously pay my way for the trouble.

I would have thought Crimewatch would have been ideal for iPlayer but apparently not.

After tonight Brad's car might be viewable here though:

Watched it earlier. well i got a glimpse my brother told me it was a sterling and then a remebered this post! lol

I have been wondering could you make a living out of hiring cars out to film / tv obviously with the right cars, or does it not pay very well?
If I am being too nosy just tell me to mind my own business!!
