this is basically a std sterling, fully loaded, the main extras are the
radio, this has gps/sat nav, dvd/cd/mp3 etc player, radio, tv, sd player for mp3 etc. flip out screen has 2 aux inputs for camera etc, bluetooth and a usb input.
the 17" lenso rs5 alloys, and the exhaust, the four tail pipes basically take the place of the backbox and mount to the std middlebox.
the brake calipers have been painted blue with "rover" embelished on them.
the engine hasn't had much done yet as i am still looking into seeing what i can do.
i had to modify the centre console to fit the radio as when the screen came out it touched on the vents and couldn't go upright enough, so cut the other switch panels about and moved them into a suitable position so that it all looks ok can be seen in the photos. regards ricky

I had to do a similar thing in the past with the centre console.

Best pic I have. I used a seperate screen and actually ended up fitting it upside down.

As nice as these are, I prefer my standard head unit....

Am I getting old? Can't be.... I like loud and bassy music....

I think I've always removed them on the basis that after market must be better? I usually use Pioneer stuff though at this minute I don't have a stereo in any of my cars for one reason or another.

i have just been given a couple of rover 75/mgzt 190 heads one has the cams the other has only the valves, will compare them to my old heads from the engine that was removed from my sterling, the porting already looks slightly different and that is just a quick glance. i fully intend to have a play and recon these before fitting them to my car, when i redo the head gaskets, don't want to loose any reliability but always look to improve performance, as small mods generaly can improve the fuel consumption especially when cruising. will take some pics if anyone wants me to so you can all see the differences . regards ricky

i got fed up with lashing up the quad rear section on the sterling it has been on the car for over two years now so i have just rebuilt the exhaust, it now has a 2.5 inch s/steel centre box and the quad rear section fully rebuilt in s/steel unfortunately all the welding was done with a std mig welder with mild steel wire, s/steel ideally should have been tig welded but i don't have these capabilities at the moment. sounds much smoother and very slightly quieter but maybe some of that is because there are no blows anymore, i am thinking about modifying some of the rest of the system ready for when the new heads are fitted, but haven't made up my mind yet...regards ricky

i have just fitted a 23mm rear anti roll bar, what a difference :P i wish i had made the effort before. much flatter in the corners almost feels like it turns in better as well. can't wait to get the front fitted when i get some new bushes for it. regards ricky

The thicker bars definitely help.

Even more so on my fastback as the MK1 bars are even thinner than the one you'll have removed.

the exhaust drones a bit around town, which i don't mind, but when you get on the motorway all goes quiet at about 85mph, but is still quite tollerable at 70mph.
i have now fitted the front anti roll bar, and i must say i am impressed again, it holds the road nearly as well as my maestro, the combination of the two antiroll bars has transformed the handling completely and would recommend anyone to do the same..
the front and rear bumpers have been resprayed and refitted, the bonnet has been painted and is ready to be fitted, the car looks much better now so should look the part as my daughters wedding car.
i originally had my cousins white rolls corniche lined up but he sold it, so i lined up his white merc e class, and he sold that as well  so i said to my daughter you will have to settle for the rover, :? and i will have to tidy it up. so job nearly done 8) regards ricky
