105k miles...
Where has the time gone! I acquired this car in 2011 with just 76k on the clock. It's been a very reliable steed and has been daily driven since then.
Every now and again I find myself wanting something more - then I look at how much this car owes me and I realise that in the last 4 years this car owes me less than £2k in total for all MOT's repairs modifications etc.
Find me another vehicle that you can daily drive for £500/year that is in a similar league to the 800. The answer? Nowt.
It needs a cambelt sooner rather than later and some more ponies stashed under the bonnet at some point in the future!

Re: Alucard7002 - Mk2b 820Si Fastback - Pic Heavy!
106,411 miles
Had a few hours spare this afternoon/evening.
Thoughrough clean inside, wash and wax.
Fitted the Roversports (for now) I was planning on getting them refurbished, I will do however they are my only set with legal rubber on them!
Then took it to the SmartLife Low Carbon centre for some attempts at artful photography with my phone... I need to fix my SLR as these do not do it justice at ALL. (and yes the fogs are on only for the photographs - I am NOT one of those morons...)
List of things I hope to do to it one day ('round tuit)

- Cambelt and waterpump (Xmas time in TheOldMans garage)
Buy and fit aftermarket cruise control
Refurb Alloys and fit Falken Azenis-rt615k in 215/55
Full detail all round and get rid of the orange peel on the rear left quarter
Fit both bumpers and front wings from the Shitesse after getting them professionally resprayed (Arch lips are beginning to go, less effort to prep the shitesse ones as they are rust free!)
Fill with LPG and keep on motoring!

Re: Alucard7002 - Mk2b 820Si Fastback - Pic Heavy!
Sorry Dave I hadn't realised you'd replied! Timing belt is good until 120K so yes it will be ok until Christmas.
I have an LPG fault to troubleshoot, somewhere there is a short/electrical fault with the gas injectors (LPG ECU shows a different injector each time it throws the code)
Some games to play with swapping wheels and tyres around to get the 820 back on the 16" prestiges and the Rover Sports off for refurb.
Sourced but not purchased a cruise kit.
Ordered more Meguiar's goop for the polishing machine and some pads in prep for it's winter detail.
Removed one front wing from the Shitesse and replaced with a red one (Thanks Dave!)
Have yet to swap the rusty 820 wing onto the Shitesse, then ready for arch touchups
The front bumper from the Shitesse is more knackered than the 820, so I'll live with an odd one out rear bumper, I've decided not to get the bumpers and wings resprayed as it just isn't worth it for a daily driver.

Re: Alucard7002 - Mk2b 820Si Fastback - Pic Heavy!
That LPG fault sounds like a nightmare! Could possibly be an earth problem or perhaps in the wiring to the injectors. If you can, it might pay to unplug and refit the plug that feeds the injectors. Not sure if the 820 uses injector resistors but i'm guessing they do, there could be a fault in them causing an LPG injection fault to show up, what's it like on petrol? Also when were the LPG filters and spark plugs last changed? IT occurrs to me that a misfire may show up as an injector fault on the LPG ECU for the simple reason it has to assume the rest of the car is fine so if it suddenly detects a misfire it will simply say the injector isn't working whereas it could be external to the LPG.
I've had fun and games with the LPG on the Jeep, long story that i may write up in the Jeep thread on here (or i may not!) but short version is it had welding for the MoT and although the battery was disconnected (allegedly) the LPG ECU got fried. Also ended up with several fusebox faults and a broken heater fan switch thanks to the guy dropping the lower part of the dash and leaving it hanging on the fusebox/loom. FItted a new Leonardo 175 ECU and it's running again but not perfectly (not that it ever did) but is better than it was. Having trouble getting the laptop to talk to the LPG ECU now, currently in the hands of Paypal as i belive the kit i bought is faulty.
I remember you swapping the front wing onto the Shitesse, nicely done in 20 minutes!

Ah but I didn't remove the front bumper remember!
Shame about the Jeep, if you want a hand with laptop fiddling and tuning on the go when the time comes feel free to give me a shout.
As for my LPG fault it runs perfectly on petrol, no misfire. It won't even change over onto LPG it trips out immediately. I suspect a harness has rubbed somewhere or a connector worked loose after 20k+ miles on gas. The filters were changed less than 2k ago.

I know you didn't remove the bumper lol! Hence only 20 minutes!
I'll definitely give you a shout sometime soon for help with laptop fiddling, thanks! Got to get the lappy talking to the Leo unit first though!
I'd go with your suspicions about a rubbed/chafed harness, bad earths and if your LPG has any other diagnostics, see what that suggests. If you want a hand feel free to pop round as we might need a few unusual tools that i've probably got lurking somewhere.
Think you can rule out the obvious bits then like i was thinking of earlier and start looking for something sneaky.

Re: Alucard7002 - Mk2b 820Si Fastback - Pic Heavy!
Fixed the LPG system.
Disconnect every connector
Spray with contact spray (Not WD40)
Reconnect
Wiggle
Connect laptop and clear codes (Injector fault)
Cross fingers
WORKS!
Methinks after 3 years of use and abuse on LPG something worked loose. In case it is one of the injectors failing I have an entire spare set. (they only last ~30K for these cheapy ones)
I've recorded over 15k on Fuelly however I have done over 10k/year on average since purchase 4 years ago. Time flies!
Xmas list includes Cambelt, waterpump, fanbelt, DIY Roversport refurb and new rubber. And of course the obligatory thorough wash and detail with many before and after photos!
