Apparently this car took a tumble off a trailer en-route to a show, something to do with an uninsured driver. :shock:

Terrific, love the HF Delta ..........big bucks now for the 4wd

Not sure the Nissan would fully utilise the downforce from that elevated rear parcel shelf tho ...... :D

I love 50's 'lead-sleds' like that Chevie but if I ever get hold of whoever thought laquering over rust looks good, I'll tear them a new one ....... it's not 'Patina' it's laziness .....

I've MOT'd worse ..... :wink:

.....actually drove a Mk1 Escort home after an accident that was worse than that (followed a mate who was in Traffic Police at the time) - it'd been side-swiped by a Transit pulling out of a junction, spinning it into a lamp post ...... chassis was still straight but every body panel had major damage .... boy, did them make 'em strong in them days!

Most of the panels on old T Birds are bolt-on, or (as with the dash & scuttle panels) thick enough to be hammered back into shape; his main problem will be sourcing the right ones ...... oh, and paying for them. :shock:

Pays to have adequate insurance cover.

Alternatively, why not actually DRIVE the car to the shock rather than carry it on a trailer? Then at least HE would have been insured. I hate damned trailer-queens at carshows, they are everything that is wrong about the classic car scene.

I've heard of Jag E type "Trailer queens" on show with no moving parts in their engines.

Seen cars with cling film on their tyres to keep them clean between trailer and show stand, and still have the sticky labels on the treads.
How sad is that. :roll:

Very sad indeed, cars are for enjoying not only for us driving them but to allow others to see as well. Its nice to have them looking as they should but wrapping them up and not using them, well what's the point.
