Well that is a big disappointment. PoL cancelled with very little warning. I made it to Beaconsfield at least and met a few people but not too many 800s.
Hi again to Pat who has the most beautiful Vitesse Coupe in Bolero Red. Will anything be re-arranged or is it logistically too difficult?

just got back from POL bit of a damp squib nice too see at least 1 other Vitesse coupe a black one parked just behind mine nice condition as well. Also couple of vitesse fast backs as well and a well sorted mark 1 vitesse would have been nice to meet other 800 members all together but will have to wait till next meet I suppose

Hi Tony, you must have been in the white gold coupe then as the Black one is proudly mine. Didnt look as good as it was at home but travelling up the motorway in spray dosent help does it. Oh well wait and see if Gaydon show is dry I suppose.

What a shame. The British Spring weather meant we couldnt use the park, so the event took place on the streets outside, reminiscent of a 1990's car cruise. Ahhh my youth!

I got there about 10am and stayed till around 1pm, then made the long trek back south again. All the time i was there it was sunny, so cant complain too much. Met some friendly faces, including Dave and David amongst others. Thanks for all the tips and advice.

hi Steeve yes that was my baby yours looked really good nice body work and wheels next thing on my list to get done . I spent Friday afternoon polishing mine what a waste of time that was with such rubbishy weather had to laugh though when I saw some young lad t cutting his rusty ZR like it would have made the rust spots go. but all in all wasn't so bad but was my first so don't know what its usually like .would have been nice to have all the 800s together as it is their 30th year and we could have got some tips off each other and told story's of how we left Porsche's standing lol

Hi all, very disappointing as mentioned. Made it there about 1130am, saw a good few 800s, I'd say 10 - 15 total. Then off to Cadburys' World for an afternoon of chocolate for the juniors! We were there's in the midnight blue fastback and the B RG 400 tourer...

Got to say though, it was the right decision. Whilst Sat was fine (if cold), we had a walk into Cofton park (to go to the swings) and it was very wet underfoot , we got mudded up in a short space of time. If there had been cars driving all over it it would have been a mudbath very quickly, churned up the park and there would have been cars stuck all over the place. Right decision, unfortunately...

Apparently there were min-meets springing up all over the place including Gaydon and Coventry motor museum but obviously no way ti immediately communicate that to everyonE

Well what a real shame, maybe should be rescheduled for summer months for future to give best chance of success although I do understand the significance of April ....

I'm not sure moving it to the summer will improve the chances of the weather not being crap? :D

I went 3 or 4 times in the past and usually the weather was very good to be fair, just bad luck this time I think.

I got there about 11ish, not a total loss as hundreds of other people didn't get the message either so there was still plenty of cars to see, and a fair few 800's. Just not sure who the owners were, recognised Mark's mk1 Vitesse and also James mk1, and the two Coupe's parked together.

Was a good run out for the Vitesse, furthest its been in five years.
