The first Beaulieu autojumble was held in 1967 when there was I believe 75 stalls selling car parts.
It now has about 2000 stalls approx and is a major international event. Although this looks small in comparison to Hershey (America) where they have approx 10,000 stalls.
People travel from all over the world to be at Beaulieu Hampshire.One year some guys came all the way from Australia just to sell Rover P5 parts.
Its not just car parts you see all sorts of oddities.Plane engines,Pilots seats from a Sunderland flying boat etc,workshop manuals, sales brochures.model cars,tools, clothing,specialist stalls for all sorts of things eg Metal stiching.
You can buy anything from a nut and bolt to a complete car.
There are cars for sale in the automart approx 200 private and traders.
Bonhams hold an auction. Then there is the museum and Palace house to view.
An excellent event with a good atmosphere with no snobbery. It caters for the stockbroker who was looking for parts for his Lagonda to the bin man sorry refuse technician who was after parts for his A35. It’s a good social event. Forget Ascot go to Beaulieu.

Cars for sale in the Automart
This was excellent. The Daimler had cover just 19,000 miles and the trader was asking £5995.
I had seen it advertised previously and thought it expensive and it had been for sale for some time. When I saw it I understood why the price was as it was. It was gorgeous. If you wanted a car straight from the production line this was as near as you could get. I could not fault it. The wheels were perfect, the seats unmarked it was exceptional. After months of trying to sell it sold on the first day of the show.

Volvo 960. 102,000 miles full history perfect leather interior. Think it had 12 month MOT and good tax a very good car for what they were asking £995 and that’s before the haggle. Was tempted for winter.
Citroen SM
MG TF which was LHD .It was very nice indeed .Didn’t see how much they were asking for it but I was at Barons classic heritage sale at Sandown park 4 days earlier where I saw it sell for £20600 plus 10 % buyers premium. I wasn’t too surprised to see it turn up here really.

They were asking for offers over £2000 for the leaping cat gate mascot.

Saw this on the way out. Lovely, lovely Humber. There is just as much of interest in the car parks and vehicles entering and leaving the ground as you see many classics in attendance.
On display on the Classics magazine stand this prototype Triumph herald hatchback. It was an excellent restoration job the paintwork was fantastic. It always the case when you take the picture someone then moves in front of you.
