What use are sleds where you live, Dave? There isn't a hill for 50 miles!!

Tom - you know that, i know that but Wilkos have got them so i'm told by at least 2 members of their staff! There is a bit of a hill here, Maids Cross Hill that is allegedly one of the highest points in east Anglia but i wouldn't fancy sledding down it as i'd end up on American soil with an M16 shoved up my hooter!

Totally agree on the 4x4 experience, about 12 years ago i had a Ford Ranger 2.5D (sadly n/asp) 4x4 pick up with a Truckman Top as my works van. At the time i was the on-site engineer covering the generators and by some weird machinations in the company i worked for, lighting towers and a few other things at the White City shopping centre when it was just a 15m deep mud pit. The transfer box saw a lot of work most days! I was often seconded to the Wembley Stadium development too as that was running at the same time and again, a 15m deep mud pit!
My boss turned up on site one day and had the audacity to complain my truck was filthy and then the further brass neck the following monday when i nipped into the local depot for spares, paperwork etc to moan that i was washing it!
Meanwhile back in 2015, as you rightly say winter is on its way and i fully intend making use of the 4wd capability.

Now THAT had me in stitches
Cheers mate!
Good luck with the sale and thank you for the offer previously. Hopefully someone on here snaps it up for what I know to be a steal.

Re: Scoobys XJ Cherokee 4.0 HO Limited
Glad that tickled your ribs!
At present it's had 405 views and has 26 watchers but no bids yet! It just occurred to me that even at the Buy It Now price, whoever bought it could still make their money back breaking it and then some!
Going back about a year i bought two wheels/tyres from the local scrappy and they charged me £60 each. It's being sold with those extra wheels so 7 in total and at that price there's £420 worth of wheels/tyres alone! Then there's the engine, gearbox, transfer box, front and rear axles, body panels........................... the list goes on!
Definitely a steal for someone!

Re: Scoobys XJ Cherokee 4.0 HO Limited
Agreed on both counts Chris!
Go back 4 or 5 years and even immaculate Jeeps with 12 months MoT, 6 months tax and LPG were struggling to reach £400 and they were just starting to creep up last year when i bought it.
Recently prices have gone silly - not that i'm complaining of course!
Just waiting for the winning bidder to make contact now................................

I paid £200 for my first Cherokee back in 2009 I think it was.
Seems I always sell up too early.

Re: Scoobys XJ Cherokee 4.0 HO Limited
Mine was £300 last year Chris but in fairness i've probably spent the difference in various bits and pieces for it in that time. Funny thing was, when i bought it all the others were fetching about twice that but the advert was pretty dire so could well be why.
