Hello all,

I thought I would pop in and say hi, for the last 6 or so months my health has been declining and I am unable to keep on top of maintaining an older car, so instead of watch the rust patches get bigger and a few other personal reasons etc... I decided to sell the car to somebody who will hopefully put as much time into it as I once did.

My new run about is a 2.2 i-CTDI Honda Accord Tourer EX with just about every extra packed into it, hopefully it will be a while before I have to start doing anything to it.

I will still pop in every so often and have a load of spare parts in the shed too!

It's a fairly plain looking car, but there is something about it that stands out, a guy who lives down the road stopped to tell me it was a really nice looking car!

Hopefully in a few years time I will be in a position to get another 800, although I will probably have to pay a bit more for one then.

Sad to see you're no longer an 800 owner Jim but at least the Honda isn't too distant a relation of the 800.
Maybe one day you'll be able to get another 800 to put those spares to work on!

Don't be a stranger on here though, cars come up for sale every so often and one might just be the right one for you at the right time in the future when you're sorted out - fingers crossed!

You're right there, there's a few on here who don't have an 800 in their possession, it's a good community and I've made some friends on here too, I'm not going anywhere, I'll just have a little Honda section in with the 'Non Rover' cars.

I'll just have to exercise the 'Drive any car' part of my insurance for a quick fix every so often when I find somebody with an 800.
