There were two reasons. The first was a realisation after being so ill in 2012 that there was more to life than cars. Endlessly cleaning, insuring, moving them around and keeping the damp/vermin/thieves at bay was no way to conduct a hobby. It was no longer enjoyable. The second reason was financial. As a direct result of being ill, I could no longer justify all the costs. So everything was sold, given away or scrapped. I do have two cars left but neither are Rovers.
I hope everyone on here is well. I'm fully fit again and have a different outlook, as you can see.
I am also very grateful to three members on here (for three seperate reasons) who helped me so much when winding everything down. Without them, things would have turned out badly for me and I will get in touch this month as its been too long.
Thanks for talking about me. I do pop in to the forum from time to time. It's interesting to see the same sorts of problems and questions flying around and a bit frustrating that so many need parts that I had to jettison not so long ago due to lack of interest.
Viva La Rover 800!
