Lovely to hear from you Brad.
The forum hasn't been the same since you left.

Remember your always welcome for a brew if your passing.

yeah don't go yet brad, i only just got here really.

must say that interest in the 800 seems fairly strong in a small kind of way at the moment, the cars are still worth 2 chickens and a turnip but that works in favour of anyone wanting to buy one, but against anyone inventing or remaking/making new parts for them, but you can't have it all i guess.

I think you're right midnite - several mentions in Practical Classics recently too, and a couple of small articles. Plus a fledgling owners club - I suspoect as you say, there is a micro-bubble forming :-)

The differnce nowadays is that you may be able to get one for the two chickens and a turnip but it won't go through the MOT like they did when I was buying them for the same money.

£150 for an MOt'd and taxed Mk1 Sterling was common place five or ten years ago.

You try getting one now for that.

£150 was expensive by my experience. :D ;)

Finding a Mk1 Sterling these days is an achievement, never mind one for sale!

I'm fed up of muscling the 800 around roundabouts and corners that a modern shopping trolley whizzes round with ease.
I'm also fed up with tinkering in the sense for a daily driver I want reliability and consistency. I still want a second vehicle (toy) to tinker with but it wouldn't be my daily and it wouldn't be an 800 ;-)
I know that feeling! I've got "beeched" more than once on mini roundabouts...

O_o how low is your 800 to come close to scraping speed bumps and mini roundabouts?
