LPG price increase

Who here uses LPG and hasn't filled up for a week or two? Be prepared for a BIG SHOCK.
I filled up last night, normally about £25, last night £40. !!!!!
A 38% increase almost overnight. 52p to 72p a litre at my local Asda. I almost couldn't sleep last night from the shock.
My local Asda has been bubbling around 50p a litre for years, not following the petrol and diesel trend but now...bam!! All in one go.
Prior to last night I was feeling smug about using my Rover for my 130 mile a day journey instead of my TDi Golf, but now the Rover is back in the garage.
Also worth noting that two local Shell Stations to me have withdrawn selling LPG. Maybe it's on the decline.

Ouch! That's a grim jump, especially coupled with a tailing off in usage and therefore availability.

You're not wrong Adrian but still cheaper than 157.9p/L for BP Ultimate round my neck of the woods!

As a V8 Jeep owner not running on LPG I feel very sorry for you.

Joking aside though, I've heard lots of people saying over the last few months about LPG disappearing.

It's always been a black hole for it here so I haven't bothered with it for a long time.

I guess I'm fortunate that work is only 5 miles from home and I have the use of other cars when I do a longer journey but I use my Jeep daily through winter.

No doubt the govt don't want a viable alternative to BEVs being used so LPG is being restricted.

Don't envy you running a V8 Jeep on petrol though!
