Actually Dave it seems I’m selling it to someone in need of one. I had the original plan of just strapping it on the Wall but I was contacted by a guy in the UK in need of one, so a better tribute to send it back to where it came from.
That sounds like a great way of keeping your garage clear and helping someone out Henrik! :D
Cheers,
Dave

Today was a good day. The floor on the special has been too weak, it’s made out of a thick sheet aluminium with aluminium tubing to get it rigid but it wasn’t. So today We managed to Clamp a 20x20mm steel tube underneath, fixed to the chassis rails holding the body up. The difference is amazing.

Very good to have a helping hand aswell!

Made a little something.
This head is a high power head and I’m aiming to fit it during this summer.

The problem is the water outlet branch, it’s actually the same branch as the one where the water enters the engine on the side. The angle of the pipe is however wrong, so I decided to cut it and make a new pipe. To be able to do this I found an epoxi for alloy, a chemical metal. It’s a powder and a resin that is mixed to a ”porridge” and then applied. Afterwards it can be cut, sawed, drilled etc. Very hard indeed. Excellent product!

It’s not beautiful but it works! Pics are a bit randomly though.

As it was, pointing the wrong way.

Interesting solution Henrik! I've used similar stuff in the past, usually a twin-syringe type dispenser and rebuilt various broken things.
Hopefully it will withstand the heat, vibration and coolant and not give you any problems. :D
Cheers,
Dave

Yes it’s a bit of a ”trial and error” but I’ve seen it used in engine blocks so pretty sturdy stuff. It’s designed to withstand heat but obviously there is a risk.
Mostly it’s to try the head and see how the car goes with it. If it is a keeper I’ll probably start searching for a proper water outlet. They were made by Speedex back in the days and I have my eyes on one available. But at some £££.

Might also fabricate something from scratch. It’s a very simple design really.

I'd be inclined to go for the home-brew job myself. Looks simple enough to form a jacket to sit on the head and then add an outlet stub?
Cheers,
Dave

Yes, could be done both cheaply and neatly. Obviously it wont be alloy but those grammes are ok.
The base plate is available in steel for pennies and the manufacturing isn’t rocket science.

I’ve had a great day today. First I fixed the windscreen on the coupe and now I’ve been fiddling with the interior of my Austin Seven Ruby. It’s really difficult stuff so I understand why They charge pretty steep prices. The headlining is built from scratch so no where near perfect but it’s ok! The front section went pretty Well (I did that two years ago) and now the rear plus the seats back in place. Now it needs a good wash and some polish.
