I was mulling over another get together yesterday as it's nearly a Year since the Coventry meet, what are peoples thoughts about another? I am more than willing to organise the event but wanted to test the water so to speak before taking the idea public.
I thought that the formula from last year was good in terms of location and a free inside venue especially if the weather is bad (likely)

So i guess somewhere in the Midlands as it's reasonably central, somewhere thats free or very very cheap and inside but with an photo opportunity area. Anyone have an idea of a venue that might fit the bill?

OK so shall we do it the last weekend in November which is roughly the same time we had it last year, or should we do it earlier?

All of a sudden a convoy of 30 or so drive up the street fill up every space

Does anyone know what the transport museum is like at Wythall? South Birmingham.

Mostly buses

Â£4 to get in for an adult compared to Â£9 for Gaydon, there was a museum at Aston Manor which looked like buses as well. I have to admit to struggling for a venue in the midlands.

Tramway museum at Crich (Critch?) near Derby.

Oxford Bus Museum, Long Hanborough (the RSR had a Rover day there a couple of years back).

There's a great little motor museum in Bourton on the Water but parking is awkward so we'd really need a separate meet up point.

Bakewell, north Derbyshire, has a motorbike museum - but I've no idea on parking.

How about Swindon? We could go look at some GWR railway stuff (proper old GWR, that is).

The railway museum at Swindon has good parking from memory, ill make an effort over the weekend and come up with something.
