we will aim for 11.30 but it will in all likelyhood be closer to 12

all packed and ready to go now, will be in the nissan though

It was good to see those of you who made it down to The Lizard. Thanks to you all for the visit, and a special thanks to Job for arranging it. The weather was perfect, and I hope you all enjoyed the visit as much as I enjoyed meeting you. Pity it was actually my Wife's Birthday so She was out with our Daughter or we might have offered some hospitality and refreshments.

Hope this can be repeated in the future, it would be nice to see more 800's on The Green next time if more of you can make it; this time there were just 3 800's plus Job's 600 and a totally Japanese Machine (I know the 800 is Honda based but it's still a Rover, and the 820 even has a Rover engine as do the later V6's).

I'm keeping in touch with Charles, he only lives 15 miles away after all and also has connections with Cadgwith; he mentioned the Annual vintage rally at Ruan Minor and there is another similar event at The Lizard; I've often thought it would be good to see some nice Rovers present alongside the MGB's and other modern enthusiast groups who usually attend such events.......Food for Thought perhaps?

I was also chatting to one of you who attended (sorry I'm not so good at remembering names!) about 420 Turbos and related models. My wife is on her 2nd. 420 and this is my 3rd. 820 Vitesse, I just love that T16 engine! Prior to these I ran an SD1 2000 for 14 years and my wife had 2 EFI Maestro's with the 2-litre O-Series engine and they all gave excellent service! I have just been offered a very pretty 1996 N-Reg 220 Targa Top Coupe (a young lady of 22 fell in love with it and bought it and now finds she can't afford to insure it). If anyone is interested please send me a PM and I will send you contact details and any other info.)
