Re: Saloon sunroof for sale

Pretty sure the sunroof assemblies are the same between fastback and saloon Simon, also the glass i believe is the same across all 3 models, just the Coupe uses a different framework but the motor, glass etc is the same.

Re: Thunderbird 2, The Green Machine & Turbo Coupe

The ambient sensor is behind the front bumper Scott. Didn't you say you'd had the front bumper off recently? Maybe you forgot to plug it back in? Think i have a spare one, i'll look in a mo. Yes, i have. It has a yellow wire and a green/yellow wire on it terminated in a 2-way plug. It is hidden just...

Re: 1989 Rover 827 Vitesse automatic

You're not wrong Marc! Unusual it's the Rover fighting back, it normally is the more helpful out of the two! First tight/seized bolt i've found on it though!

I'm sure i'll find a way round it, left it soaking in my WMP so maybe it'll shift tomorrow. :D

Re: 1989 Rover 827 Vitesse automatic

You are welcome! No problem. Good luck with the projects. There is always something to do haha. Tell me about it! Todays plan was to continue with the passenger door frame satin black and while things were drying i would drop onto the tailgate blob on my Volvo. End of day result? No progress on the...

Re: 1989 Rover 827 Vitesse automatic

Awesome work Marc! I know where to bring mine now! :P  What is the brand name of the body glue please? I doubt we can get it here but can probably get similar so a name would be good to start with. got a bit of rust on my sunroof aperture to deal with and also on both sides where the rear quart...

Re: Thunderbird 2, The Green Machine & Turbo Coupe

Update on TGM. OSF wheel bearing has been changed and the noise has gone! Air con was recharged a couple of weeks ago and still nice and cold. 1st recharge since we bought it. It's still haunted though... Air con beeps now on start up but stops when you press "auto". ETA: Local garage did it. You n...

Cheers Dave, I'll give the motor a wiggle! Sorry, no PM received? I have no idea how it happened but when i replied to your last PM, it somehow sent it to me instead of you! :? :o Did a "copy & paste" and sent it to you as i thought i originally had so you should have it now! :D

Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)

Direct feeding the plug was exactly what i meant Henrik, it's the most convenient part of the motor to get to. If you can get a bit of fore/aft movement on the roof panel by turning the mechanism with a screwdriver there's a good chance you'll get the motor to splutter into life. I've also replied t...

Re: Ford Focus wheelnuts

Not 100% sure on the captive washer Henrik (loose slip ring) although some could be described as flange nuts - the washer is formed as part of the nut. Also worth checking out Volvo 7/900 wheel nuts, they also fit the 800 Rover and usually come in a set of 20 giving 4 spares.

Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)

That's the slot Henrik, yes. Sometimes inside the sunroof motor cover the tool lives there or is in the other tool kit for the car. If not, a wide flat screwdriver should work. Easiest way of explaining a short circuit and an open circuit is for you to find a switch, any switch with just two termina...

Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)

Seems the motor for the sunroof is shot. Nothing when We feed it 12v through the multiplug. But there is no resistance when using an Ohmmeter through the plug so a bit strange really? I don’t think I will investigate it further. The sunroof is nice But not necessary. No resistance as in zero Ohms o...
