Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)

That's the slot Henrik, yes. Sometimes inside the sunroof motor cover the tool lives there or is in the other tool kit for the car. If not, a wide flat screwdriver should work. Easiest way of explaining a short circuit and an open circuit is for you to find a switch, any switch with just two termina...

Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)

Seems the motor for the sunroof is shot. Nothing when We feed it 12v through the multiplug. But there is no resistance when using an Ohmmeter through the plug so a bit strange really? I don’t think I will investigate it further. The sunroof is nice But not necessary. No resistance as in zero Ohms o...

My 820Si had the same body kit on, I wish I'd known what it was back then.

And please, no comments about the grille...
Looks like a 2/400 grille? Strangely looks quite good, makes the bonnet look longer! :D

Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)

How do I search for faults on it? I’ve opened the small hatch by the mirror exposing the motor and a multiplug with two wires. Anyway of checking something out there? It’s hard to see the poles of the actual motor, not sure they are exposed. I have the WSM and look at page 213 in part 2. Not sure W...

That's about half the price of the ones i was looking at : https://cjautosheywood.co.uk/product/heavy-duty-scissor-hydraulic-car-ramps-1360kg-cr06xhd/ However the ones that resemble yours more closely are cheaper and only one locking height : https://cjautosheywood.co.uk/product/hydraulic-car-ramps-...

Re: Manalishis Mk 1a 827 Vitesse (manual)

Yes the ramps are great! If I am to complain about something it would be that they elevate the car very high. Not high enough to sit under But high enough to make it hard to reach lying on your back! But that’s a pleasant problem! I've been looking at similar ramps recently and the impression they ...

Excellent work there Henrik! Must admit, slightly jealous of those ramps, very nice! :D

Re: Manalishis 820 Vitesse Coupe

Rimmers only list the front tie rod/brake reaction bar bushes Henrik but i found them both listed (with both options, standard and 820 Vitesse) on allbrit.de : https://allbrit.de/xepc.cfm?PAGE=86642&CAR=SARRS&SPRACHE=EN#14 Items #13 and #14, second option each for the 820 Vitesse. It shows the count...

Re: Thunderbird 2, The Green Machine & Turbo Coupe

It'll sound like a supercharger on an engine driving the wheels directly then! Except on right hand bends! The NSF one went on my Coupe and above 30mph sounded like supercharger whine. Go round a left hand bend and i thought i'd gone deaf though! :P Once you've got the old bearing out, use some Half...

Re: Thunderbird 2, The Green Machine & Turbo Coupe

You've had some fun and games there Scott!

When you ordered the wheel bearing, was it front or rear? If it's the rear, they are handed and you need to order the correct side. It's a tiny amount, but they are different sizes for some unknown reason!

Re: Manalishis 820 Vitesse Coupe

Can you get me a pic of the dodgy engine mount please Henrik? I'll have a look through my other sources and try to hunt one down for you. Also don't ignore the "dog-bone" engine mount at the top. More of a damper than anything, it prevents excessive engine/transmission "rock" on acceleration/deceler...

Re: Manalishis 820 Vitesse Coupe

Gut feeling says anti roll bar drop links, especially if the noise is more prevalent when going over uneven bumps. They make a hell of a clatter and bang when they're shot. Worth checking the bottom ball joints and if they are ok for play, regreasing them anyway. Seen a lot of them with little or no...
